OVERVIEW

Focusing on community inclusion, the staff believe and support the mission and purpose of the organization. The mission is “to help individuals become self-reliant and integrated into the community through greater independence, choice and opportunity.”

With the purpose being “to provide a continuum of rehabilitative services and supports for persons who meet barriers to employment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

This is a full-time, exempt professional supervisory position in the field of habilitation services. The coordinator will develop and monitor the provision of programming for the In Home and Community Supports Program. In addition, the coordinator is responsible for providing and overseeing staff development/training.

This individual will participate in the interdisciplinary process and ensure follow through of recommendations, assist with the planning, development and oversight of activities needed within the IHCS Program that result in individuals acquiring and maintaining skills needed to remain in community settings.

REQUIREMENTS:

A Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Administration, Business, Special Education, Psychology, Public Health, Rehabilitation, Social Work, Speech Pathology, Audiology, Occupational Therapy, Therapeutic Recreation, or other human services field; and two years’ work experience in administration or supervision, and one-year experience working directly with individuals with disabilities OR an equivalent combination.

Experience in leadership or an understanding of how to work in a leadership position is desirable. Also, the desire to grow and develop a changing program is needed.
