POSITION SUMMARY
The Corporate Giving Manager fosters partnerships between the Hawaiʻi Foodbank and businesses that support our commitment to nurturing our ʻohana today and ending hunger tomorrow. The Corporate Giving Manager supports the alignment of the food’s strengths with corporate funding priorities. Working with various business stakeholders, the Corporate Giving Manager identifies opportunities, develops engagement strategies, and manages donor relationships. This includes research, outreach to corporate leaders, recruiting and acknowledging volunteers, and assistance with grant writing and reporting. This individual will manage a portfolio of current and prospective corporate donors. The Corporate Giving Manager will proactively and independently identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward corporate partners, including building meaningful, long-term relationships with corporate executives, to meet fundraising goals and ensure that as many partners as possible are retained and upgraded in their giving and involvement. As a member of the Development Team, the Corporate Giving Manager is involved with food drives, special events, and other projects, as assigned. The Corporate Giving Manager must demonstrate an active commitment to the Hawai‘i Foodbank mission in all aspects of daily work.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
RELATIONSHIP DEVELOPMENT
- Actively engages with business and corporate donors with a primary focus on securing annual gifts of all sizes to meet annual fundraising goals.
- Develops and manages a portfolio of current and prospective corporate partners supporting prospect development and relationship building, providing outstanding customer service, soliciting and receiving corporate gifts (including multi-year gifts/sponsorships, matching gifts, etc.), and leveraging Foodbank volunteer opportunities.
- Personally solicits assigned donor portfolios through face-to-face visits.
- Collaborates with Hawaiʻi Foodbank Community Giving team, leveraging event sponsorship opportunities to grow corporate support.
- Develops and builds relationships with the local affiliates of the Feeding America national cause marketing partners, fostering deeper engagement and providing tours, volunteer opportunities, etc.
- Expresses appreciation and responds to requests from donors in a professional and timely manner.
STRATEGY & BUDGET
- Develops and implements corporate moves management/engagement strategies in collaboration with the development team and based on donor research, giving history, event involvement, multi-faceted engagement, etc.
- Supports annual fundraising budget development and implements strategies to achieve revenue goals, in alignment with the organization’s annual plan and strategic initiatives.
- To support strategy, works with the marketing and communications team to develop assets, including collateral for website/social media, and to identify new creative opportunities which add value for partners.
- Implements strategy in a manner which supports a collaborative approach to fundraising.
DATA MANAGEMENT, REPORTING & ANALYSIS
- Utilizes a CRM platform to maintain current and confidential information on development activities. Makes effective use of CRM and other resources to ensure appropriate management of corporate donors and prospects and for reporting on fundraising outcomes.
- Regularly prepares and presents analysis of fundraising activities to leadership, including regular reports on fundraising outcomes. Analysis may include donor capacity, challenges, available funding and general corporate giving trends.
OTHER FUNCTIONS
- As a member of the Development Team, will be actively engaged with the Annual Food Drive Campaign, to include work with a collection site and/or coalition.
- As a member of the Development Team, will be actively engaged with Hawai‘i Foodbank events, including but not limited to activities such as Great Chefs Fight Hunger and National Association of Letter Carriers, etc.
- Comply with all federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations.
- With team, present recommendations and assist in implementing quality initiatives.
- Provide support on any other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in applicable field from a four-year college or university. 5+ years’ experience and/or training in fundraising, sales, or related field preferred. Master’s degree in related field preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, required.
- Skilled relationship builder, optimal team member, compelling communicator and a strategic thinker, with proven success in cultivating and stewarding corporate partners.
- Experience developing corporate partnerships in a team environment, adhering to the highest ethical standards, demonstrating empathetic disposition and perseverance, and showing respect for all stakeholders.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Hawaiʻi’s corporate philanthropy environment, preferred.
- Proficient in computer office software including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and familiarity with other office software, required. Proficiency in Adobe Pro, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Salesforce and/or Raiser’s Edge preferred.

EQUIPMENT, SOFTWARE, MACHINES, TOOLS, VEHICLES USED
- Daily use of a computer workstation, including keyboard, mouse/glide/track pad, and other typical office equipment, such as printer, copier, scanner, and communication systems (including internal VOIP system, online meeting/communication systems, mobile systems, etc.)
- Proficient computer software skills (Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, Raiser’s Edge, etc.)
- Insured vehicle with valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Requires driving for off-site day, evening and weekend meetings and events, as needed or assigned.
- Requires the use of computer, mobile, telephonic equipment, etc.
- The noise level ranges from quiet to moderate to loud at times.
