With an extensive reach of over 15 million accounts monthly through social media, Gaye provides an inclusive platform for sharing stories, highlighting LGBTQ+ voices, and promoting diversity and acceptance. We are dedicated to fostering meaningful connections with LGBTQ+ brands and LGBTQ+-friendly companies, and we are seeking a talented Corporate Partnership Coordinator to join our team.

Job Overview: As the Corporate Partnership Coordinator for Gaye Magazine, you will play a crucial role in building and maintaining strategic partnerships with brands and companies to secure sponsorships and support our mission of providing authentic and empowering content to BIPOC folks within the LGBTQ+ community. Your efforts will directly contribute to the continued growth and success of Gaye Magazine. This is a part-time position, and compensation will be commission-based, with an estimated salary potential of 60K+.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and Target LGBTQ+ Brands and Companies: Conduct thorough research to identify potential sponsors, advertisers, and partners that align with Gaye Magazine's mission and values. Focus on LGBTQ+ brands and organizations to build meaningful and authentic partnerships.
  • Develop and Nurture Relationships: Build strong and lasting relationships with prospective sponsors and partners through effective communication and outreach. Showcase the unique value and benefits of partnering with Gaye Magazine to enhance their brand visibility and support their LGBTQ+ community engagement initiatives.
  • Sponsorship and Advertising Proposals: Create compelling and customized sponsorship proposals tailored to the specific needs and interests of potential sponsors. Collaborate with the marketing team to integrate sponsors' messages seamlessly into our content and promotional efforts.
  • Negotiation and Contract Management: Collaborate with the Legal and Finance teams to negotiate sponsorship agreements, ensuring mutually beneficial terms and adherence to company policies.
  • Sponsorship Performance Tracking: Monitor and analyze the performance of sponsorships and partnerships, providing regular reports. Assess the success of each partnership in meeting agreed-upon objectives and make data-driven recommendations for improvement.
  • Stay Current with LGBTQ+ Industry Trends: Keep abreast of trends, developments, and emerging opportunities within the LGBTQ+ community, LGBTQ+ media, and related industries. Utilize this knowledge to identify potential sponsors and tailor partnership strategies accordingly.

Requirements:

  • Passion for LGBTQ+ Advocacy: A deep understanding and passion for LGBTQ+ issues, advocacy, and representation.
  • Experience in Corporate Partnership or Sponsorship: Proven experience in corporate partnership development, sponsorship sales, or related fields, with a track record of successful negotiations and partnerships.
  • LGBTQ+ Brands and Companies Expertise: Familiarity with LGBTQ+ brands, companies, and organizations to effectively identify and engage potential sponsors.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills to create persuasive proposals and establish positive relationships with sponsors and stakeholders.
  • Relationship Building: Ability to build strong, trust-based relationships with potential sponsors and internal teams.
  • Self-Motivated and Results-Driven: Proactive and driven to achieve targets, with a focus on delivering results in a commission-based environment.
  • Flexibility and Adaptability: Capable of working in a fast-paced and evolving digital media environment.
