This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your analytical skills, financial acumen, and negotiation abilities in a fast-paced environment committed to excellence and integrity.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive credit analysis by collecting and analyzing financial data, including cash flow statements, balance sheets, and income statements to assess borrower creditworthiness.
  • Perform risk assessments using quantitative research methods and financial modeling techniques to forecast potential outcomes and identify potential red flags such as fraud or financial instability.
  • Underwrite loan applications by evaluating borrower financial concepts, collateral value, and repayment capacity to determine appropriate credit limits and terms.
  • Prepare detailed financial reports and summaries that clearly communicate findings, risks, and recommendations for approval or further review.
  • Utilize advanced financial software tools for loan processing, portfolio management, and data collection to streamline workflows and enhance accuracy.
  • Monitor existing credit accounts through ongoing risk analysis, fraud prevention measures, and portfolio management strategies to minimize losses and optimize returns.
  • Review credit files to ensure that there are current reports, statements, collateral documentation, and other financial information on customer accounts in file.
  • Adhere to Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Customer Identification Program (CIP), and OFAC policies and procedures.

Experience

  • A minimum of two years of proven experience in financial analysis, credit underwriting, or related roles within banking, financial services, or mortgage servicing sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of financial concepts such as accounting principles, technical accounting standards, and quantitative analysis techniques.
  • Familiarity with financial software platforms used for loan origination, processing, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform risk analysis, cash flow analysis, and financial modeling with precision.
  • Prior experience in fraud detection or prevention strategies is a plus for maintaining the integrity of the credit portfolio.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting is essential; or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • A thorough understanding of the lending process and standards as well as excellent understanding of accounting principles and financial statement analysis.
  • Strong knowledge of state, federal, and bank compliance guidelines is essential.
  • Knowledge of credit risk management is required.
