Position Overview:

We are seeking a Culinary Artist to join our dynamic team. As a Culinary Artist at The Phoenix Taproom & Kitchen, you will be responsible for crafting culinary delights that complement our extensive drink menu. While there will be no direct supervision of employees, you will play a pivotal role in the creation and execution of our culinary offerings.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Menu Development: Collaborate with the management team to create innovative and delicious menu items that pair seamlessly with our beverage and cocktail offerings. This includes both traditional and creative dishes, with an emphasis on local and seasonal ingredients.

2. Food Preparation: Skillfully prepare and present dishes to meet high-quality standards, ensuring consistency and timely delivery to customers.

3. Kitchen Operations: Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, following food safety guidelines and health code regulations. Manage inventory, order supplies, and ensure the efficient operation of the kitchen.

4. Creative Culinary Techniques: Showcase your culinary creativity by experimenting with new cooking techniques, flavor profiles, and presentation styles to continually enhance the dining experience.

5. Collaboration: Work closely with the taproom staff to understand the nuances of our beverages and create harmonious pairings between food and drinks.

6. Customer Engagement: Occasionally interact with customers to gather feedback and provide recommendations, enhancing their overall dining experience.

7. Flexibility: Be adaptable and willing to adjust the menu based on customer preferences, dietary restrictions, and seasonal availability of ingredients.

Qualifications:

- Previous culinary experience in a professional kitchen, preferably in a high-volume restaurant or taproom setting, is preferred.

- Strong passion for food, creativity, and a desire to experiment with flavors and ingredients.

- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.

- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage time effectively.

- Strong communication and collaboration skills.

- Culinary degree or relevant certifications are a plus but not required.

Pay: $16.50 - $22.00 per hour
