This position will be located at Black Gold. Black Gold is a Montana base sight manufacturer building premium hunting, 3D, and competition archery sights. We machine, build, assemble, package, and ship all our sights out of Belgrade, MT making us 100% American made.

Position Summary: Under the direct supervision of the Customer Service & Warranty Manager, the Customer Service Representative provides support for Customer Service, and Sales.

Customer Service Functions:

  • Receives and responds to phone calls and email contacts covering a variety of questions and requests from dealers regarding Black Gold, TightSpot, and RipCord products.
  • Collects detailed information to categorize requests and to determine method of resolution. Must take clear and complete notes on call and caller information.
  • Enters details of phone call requests and inquiries into the computer system. Also details response. Makes sure to accurately document time, dates, nature of call, etc.
  • Processes service bow documentation which may include contacting dealers to quote repairs.
  • Notifies, describes, and consults with the Customer Service Manager on extraordinary or unusual customer, dealer, and/or product related issues.
  • Exercises sound professional judgment and uses technical knowledge for the analysis of the problem to provide appropriate advice, or to determine the proper level of maintenance required to solve the problem.
  • Responds effectively to high demand situations. Remains calm and professional in stressful situations with upset or angry co- workers, customers, or where multiple tasks must be completed.
  • Provides support when needed in customer service, repairs, and parts fulfillment.
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of department.
  • Supports safety and a safe work environment.
  • Keeps equipment and work area clean and organized.
  • Follows department safety rules and operating procedures.

Competencies:

  • Position typically requires experience with Pure Archery Group or archery products. Customer service related experience preferred.
  • Must have knowledge of bow parts and bow mechanics.
  • Basic computer skills using Word, Excel, email, and ability to learn and use company specific software applications required. Requires basic math skills, including addition and subtraction.
  • Requires excellent oral communication skills and ability to follow written and verbal work instructions.
  • Strong written communication skills required.
  • Must be able to read and understand written materials to follow equipment, production and safety procedures and requirements.
  • Requires ability to remain patient and calm, and handle situations in professional manner.
  • Attention to detail, organization skills, and the ability to solve problems are required.
  • Must have the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Must be able to work independently with limited supervision.
  • Must be able to work in a team environment and produce results in conjunction with fellow team members.
