Pipeline Packaging, an employee-owned company, is a leading industrial rigid packaging distributor in the United States seeking an enthusiastic, responsible and customer oriented individual that has a positive attitude and shares the values of our company culture which is built around teamwork, family, honest communication and producing desirable results for our Hudson, OH facility.

Job Overview

Communicate with customers by phone, email or in person to ensure the best service possible. Interviews customers to obtain information and explain available services. Investigates and corrects errors, following customer and company records. Adjusts complaints concerning billing or services rendered. Refers complaints of product or service failure to appropriate departments for investigation. Provides product information to the customer.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure customers receive efficient, courteous, and professional service through correctly applying processes and procedures as directed.
  • Processes all customer orders received by email, telephone, or web portals efficiently and error free.
  • Answer phones, research, and resolve customer disputes and problems within established guidelines and in a timely manner.
  • Act as a liaison between the customer, sales representatives, and other internal personnel to address customer inquiries, including but not limited to order status, product information, stock availability, delivery and shipment information, freight quotes, account status, item pricing as well as product knowledge.
  • Support the Sales Department in maintaining relationships with existing customers through being an extension of the sales team and delivering outstanding customer service.

Skills and qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years exp. in an Account Management or Customer Service oriented position. Distribution industry: preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree; preferred
  • Customer focused mindset
  • Detail oriented with strong communication (both written and verbal), interpersonal and listening skills. Demonstrated ability to embrace and adapt to change.
  • Proven ability to multi-task, have strong organizational and time-management skills in a fast-paced environment while always maintaining a professional image
  • Proactive, takes initiative and can make decisions in the best interest of our customers
  • Good work record; Strong work ethic
  • Ability to work effectively in teams; demonstrated ability to assimilate information quickly and a deep desire to learn and succeed.
  • MS Office Suite experience; required. Oracle experience and/or Salesforce experience; a plus
