Position Available: Data Analyst

Classification: Full-Time, Non-Exempt

Salary: $74,006 annually

Closing Date: Open until Filled

This is a forty (40) hour per week position. Benefits include generous medical, dental, vision, disability insurance, 25 vacation days per year, 13 sick leave days per year, paid holidays, State and 401A and 401K retirement plans.

Summary:

Under the direction of the Director of Research and Data, the Data Analyst will support various workforce and labor market research activities. The Data Analyst will provide relevant data to the workforce development system, support research projects that drive decisions, and educate the broader community on the state of our workforce and labor market. In addition, the Data Analyst will support the workforce development system’s tracking and reporting database. This position is hybrid with flexibility to work remotely and/or from the office. This position does not allow performance in a fully remote manner. However, the tasks and responsibilities of this position may, at the discretion of WorkForce Central, be performed as a hybrid work model, workingboth in the office and remotely from an in-state residence that allows for regular commuting to the office.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

The following are the primary duties and responsibilities of the Data Analyst:

Data Collection and Processing:

· Collaborate with internal teams to identify and gather relevant datasets.

· Clean, preprocess, and validate data to ensure accuracy and consistency.

Data Analysis:

· Utilize descriptive statistical methodologies to analyze datasets and extract valuable insights.

· Support labor market quantitative and qualitative analyses.

Reporting and Visualization:

· Create comprehensive and visually appealing reports and dashboards to communicate findings to stakeholders.

· Present data-driven insights in a clear and understandable manner.

Performance Monitoring:

· Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and track trends over time.

· Provide regular updates on performance metrics to support decision-making.

Collaboration and Communication:

· Assist with various research and communication activities, including social media posts, newsletters, and grant reports.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and priorities.

· Communicate findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences effectively.

Operations:

· Help maintain automated workflows to support organizational processes and management of WorkForce Central information.

· Effectively collect, update, and organize data and information to support existing reporting and analytic solutions.

· Update and maintain reporting notes on data sources, processing, and analysis.

Qualifications and Experience:

· Skills and Life Experiences – Contribute to the organization through skills gained throughout previous roles and lived experiences.

· Language Skills – Ability to compose reports, business correspondence and specialized reporting materials. Should be able to effectively present information and respond to questions.

· Reasoning Ability – Ability to define problems, research data, analyzes facts, prioritize tasks, set goals, and prepare reports. Should be able to understand, interpret and communicate a variety of instructions and program guidelines.

· Interpersonal Skills – Strong interpersonal communication skills, good organization and flexibility, work independently, have good judgment and be willing to take initiative, detail oriented, ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, work well under pressure and work as part of a team. Must be comfortable working with the public.

· Computer Skills – To perform this classification an individual should have advanced knowledge of software applicable to the specific job duties that may include Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, and Adobe. Fluency with statistical analysis, data management and preparation, and business intelligence applications.

· Facilitation Skills – Ability to use active listening, problem solving, empathy, conflict resolution, and multiple techniques to align equitable results towards successful outcomes.

· Experience/Education – At least four years of combined position experience and education that relates directly to the job description.
