The NETA Business Center provides accounting services for public broadcasting organizations and other non-profit institutions across the country. We are true partners for our clients! The Database Support Specialist supports NETA and the NETA Business Center’s IT operations by assisting the Director of Information Technology with new client data conversions and by resolving routine computer-related issues for staff.
Regular Duties:
·Assists with data conversion by acquiring the raw data from a new Business Center client, using Microsoft Excel to arrange the data, and importing the information into Sage Intacct. The new client information is also imported into Sage Fixed Assets (FAS) for monthly asset depreciation tracking;
·Creates monthly depreciation reports for NETA Business Center clients from Sage Fixed Assets (FAS) for the Senior Staff Accountants and Controllers;
·Maintains Sage Fixed Assets (FAS) software system to include additions to assets, updates and disposals of Fixed Assets;
·Coordinates new user setup including telephone, computer applications and network folders;
·Provides client training on NETA Business Center operating software; responds to client inquiries with information and guidance as needed;
·Troubleshoots computer and application issues for Business Center staff and clients;
·Performs Administrator duties for Sage MAS 500, Sage Intacct, FAS, doc-Link™ and FRX software;
·Sets up new users, adds/changes/deletes users in each platform in a timely manner to insure network security and system controls for each client;
· Assist in researching new products and procedures to determine compatibility with current operating systems;
· Assist NETA staff in trouble-shooting common computer-related issues by assessing the problem, and then working collaboratively to resolve the issue;
· Assists in training NETA and NETA Business Center staff on new and existing software and applications;
·Maintains and updates a collection of instructions and information on NETA software and systems which is available to all staff from a desktop shortcut;
·Submits service tickets to managed IT provider and monitors tickets for progress updates;
Occasional Duties:
·Support video conference meetings for staff as needed;
·Other duties as assigned
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED (An equivalent amount of training, education and experience will also be considered.)
·Associate’s degree required, bachelor’s degree preferred, in computer science;
·One year IT experience required;
·Two years accounting experience required;
·Advanced skill with Microsoft Office 365 applications, SharePoint, Crystal Reports and accounting software systems preferred;
·Excellent accuracy, attention to detail, and organizational skills;
·Ability to work collaboratively on multiple projects simultaneously;
·Ability to work proactively to meet deadlines;
·Ability to take responsibility and ownership for tasks and to use initiative and creativity to resolve problems;
·Strong, positive interpersonal skills;
·Commitment to excellent service and satisfaction for NETA members Business Center clients.

Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
