Demolition Laborer

Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Demolition Technician to join our dynamic construction team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently tearing down structures, preparing sites for new construction, and ensuring all demolition activities adhere to safety standards and project specifications.

Responsibilities

• Execute demolition activities including interior and exterior structure removal, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and project plans
• Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, and skid steers to assist with site clearing and debris removal
• Use hand tools and power tools for precise demolition tasks, including cutting, breaking, and dismantling structures
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to determine demolition scope and methods
• Perform site inspections to assess structural integrity, identify hazards, and ensure adherence to safety standards
• Coordinate with construction management to plan demolition phases, timelines, and resource allocation
• Conduct restoration work post-demolition such as concrete finishing, masonry repairs, or site cleanup to prepare for subsequent construction phases

Qualifications

• Proven 2+ years of experience in construction site work with a focus on demolition projects
• Hands-on experience operating heavy machinery and power tools safely and effectively
• Skills in using hand tools such as caulking guns, trim carpentry tools, or masonry equipment is a plus
• Strong physical stamina with the ability to lift heavy materials and perform strenuous tasks in various weather conditions
