SHOE SHOW, INC., the country’s largest privately held footwear retailer in business 64 years with more than 1,000 stores in 47 states, is seeking an experienced Desktop Support Technician to join our team. This position is available onsite in our corporate office in North Charleston, SC. Local candidates are encouraged to apply!
The Desktop Support Technician is responsible for keeping the client technology devices for end users of the organization running properly. These devices include desktop, laptop, tablet PCs, and their peripherals used to perform daily work tasks. The Desktop Support Technician will be responsible for mostly Windows 10 or Windows 11 systems, with some Apple iOS devices mixed in. By working on-site or via remote connection, the Desktop Support Technician will assist with hardware installations, software upgrades, systems integrations, and other basic IT-related issues so that the end users can remain productive and complete their job tasks.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
· Provide support for company-owned Windows and iOS devices through in-person assistance, over the phone, through email and chat, or by remote tools connecting to the user’s assigned PC.
· Resolve business user IT issues in a timely manner, including but not limited to:
o Issues with Microsoft 365 Apps
o Other computer software issues
o Computer hardware and peripheral issues
o User account password issues
o Remote access issues
o Printing issues
· Ensure that all user issues are recorded as work tickets for tracking and reporting purposes.
· Write and maintain accurate user documentation.
· Assist with writing articles to populate the knowledge base for the team.
· Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
· Strong understanding of computer systems.
· Knowledgeable about Windows 10 and Windows 11 Operating Systems.
· Good understanding of Apple iOS Operating Systems.
· Knowledgeable about Microsoft 365 Apps for Enterprise for both Windows and Apple.
· Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
· Good communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to work well in a team and independently.
· Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
· Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
