The Curb solution provides actionable information about how to make your home more energy efficient by leveraging circuit-level electricity monitoring, real-time reporting, smart alerts, and remote energy controls. This is a great opportunity to get in on the ground floor of a funded startup.

Job Description:

As a DevOps Engineer at CURB, you will be building cloud architecture for new microservices to support major product features. Ensuring reliability and scalability for CURB’s quickly growing customer base, you will maintain and optimize existing architecture. You will work closely with software sprint teams and product managers to help meet project deadlines.

Responsibilities:

  • Build, maintain, and expand DevOps codebase
  • Maintain and build upon existing Terraform code to manage AWS architecture
  • Maintain CI/CD pipelines and approve production deployments
  • Maintain AWS image builds using Packer
  • Create automated container building process for engineers to run architecture locally
  • Add and maintain server packages and configurations with Ansible
  • Develop and maintain automation and reports with Python and Bash
  • Maintain log aggregation services
  • Build monitoring service and plan shared on-call schedule with other engineers
  • Help design and maintain server architectures for dependability and scalability
  • Optimize cloud architecture pertaining to cost and performance
  • Respond to urgent customer-facing product issues funneled through BD and Customer Support
  • Accurately estimate and plan projects to support product management and customer agreements
  • Participate in team standup, project planning, and bug review meetings
  • Participate in all parts of system development, testing, deployment, and support

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of AWS experience
  • 2+ years supporting a highly available cloud environment
  • 2+ years with Linux/OSX and command line
  • 1+ years working with Terraform
  • 1+ years working with Configuration Management tooling (like Ansible)
  • 1+ years scripting in Python and Bash
  • Experience in designing scalable and reliable AWS architecture
  • Initiative and ability to work independently and in a team
  • US Citizenship required
