Summary:

Wyze is seeking an experienced DevOps Systems Engineer to join our engineering team. This role is crucial in ensuring the scalability, security, and reliability of our cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cloud platforms, automation tools, and CI/CD practices. You will work closely with our development and operations teams to streamline processes and support the deployment of our smart home products and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cloud Infrastructure Management: Design, deploy, and maintain scalable and secure cloud infrastructure on AWS, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Automation and CI/CD: Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines for the seamless deployment of applications and services. Implement automation scripts to streamline infrastructure management and operations.
  • Monitoring and Incident Response: Set up monitoring tools to track system performance and availability. Respond to incidents, troubleshoot issues, and perform root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
  • Security and Compliance: Implement security best practices across infrastructure and applications, including managing IAM roles, encryption, and compliance with industry standards.
  • Collaboration and Support: Work closely with the software development, QA, and product teams to support development workflows and product releases. Provide guidance on infrastructure-related issues.
  • Configuration Management: Use configuration management tools like Ansible or Chef to ensure consistency across environments.
  • Performance Optimization: Continuously optimize systems for performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness, ensuring our products meet the needs of our growing user base.
  • Documentation: Maintain clear and detailed documentation of infrastructure, procedures, and configurations.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in a DevOps, systems engineering, or cloud engineering role.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Language Requirement: Mandarin Chinese and English(due to heavy work with teams overseas)
  • Skills:
  • Proficiency with AWS and its services, including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and VPC.
  • Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.
  • Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Solid scripting skills in languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools, particularly Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
  • Understanding of security best practices and compliance standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to system improvements.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or similar certification.
  • Experience with smart home technologies or IoT systems.
  • Familiarity with serverless architecture and microservices.
