Job Description:
TASC of Northwest Ohio is seeking a dedicated and experienced Diagnostic Assessor to join our team. This full-time role involves conducting Dual Mental Health/Substance Use Assessments for individuals involved with various levels of the criminal justice system. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in behavioral health and a commitment to helping those in need.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive diagnostic assessments for mental health and substance use disorders.
- Determine appropriate behavioral health diagnoses using the DSM-5-TR.
- Assess the level of care required for each individual and formulate tailored treatment plans.
- Coordinate linkage and referrals to appropriate treatment providers.
- Understand and apply principles of cultural diversity, trauma-informed care, and self-determination.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records using electronic medical record systems.
- Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Qualifications:
- At least two years of experience in diagnostic assessments for mental health and substance use disorders.
- Proficiency with the DSM-5-TR and Microsoft Office applications.
- Familiarity with electronic medical record keeping.
- Licensed Social Worker (LSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).
- Strong understanding of issues related to interacting with previously incarcerated individuals.
- Professional demeanor and ability to maintain confidential information.
