Chrisp Company, specializing in the highway improvement construction industry for over 40 years, is seeking a Diesel Mechanic for our Fremont, California shop.

Summary

As a Diesel Mechanic at Chrisp Company, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing diesel engines and related systems.

Responsibilities:

• Inspecting and repairing truck mounted equipment
• Troubleshooting electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and engine systems
• Assist with 90-day DOT inspections and fluid services as needed
• Drive facility service truck for field repairs and maintenance as needed
• MIG, TIG, ARC welding experience a plus
• Knowledge of Manual Mill and Lathe a plus
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Pre-employment screening includes a DMV record review and a standard drug test
• Routinely moves equipment weighing 50 pounds
• Basic computer skills to be able to use fleet management software
• Detailed oriented with a positive attitude and aptitude
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Takes responsibility and ensures the job is completed
• Strong knowledge of diesel engine systems and components
• Willing to work overtime when needed

Shift:

• Monday – Friday
• 1:00 pm - 9:30 pm (overtime as necessary)
