Diesel Mechanic

Job description

Chrisp Company, specializing in the highway improvement construction industry for over 40 years, is seeking a Diesel Mechanic for our Woodland, California shop.

Hours:

Monday - Friday
10:00 am - 6:00 pm
Occasional overtime as necessary
This is NOT a Remote or Hybrid position.

Responsibilities:

• Inspecting and troubleshooting trucks, trailers, and equipment
• Troubleshooting engines, brakes, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
• Perform 90-day DOT inspections and fluid services.
• Drive facility service truck for field repairs and maintenance as needed

Requirements:

• Pre-employment screening includes a DMV record review and a drug test
• Routinely moves equipment weighing 50 pounds
• Basic computer skills to be able to use fleet management software
• Detailed oriented with a positive attitude and aptitude
• Takes responsibility and ensures the job is completed
• Experience working on Cummins engines
• HD/IM Certified
• Snap Tests
• Willing to work overtime when needed

Pay: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour
