A/V Sound Director
A.Purpose
Develop and oversee the consistent, high quality digital ministries for Westminster’s in-person and online worship services and special events.

Westminster’s worship, ministry, and mission is intended to lift our hearts toward God; to inspire us in our efforts to serve God; and to enhance the beauty, joy, and power of Christian worship incorporating a variety of musical styles and mediums.
C. Qualifications
· Formal live sound training and a minimum of three years of continuous professional sound experience. Applicants that demonstrate necessary gifting will also be considered.
· Knowledge and ability to operate Westminster’s current soundboard.
· Experience mixing different genres of music, such as band, choral, electronic and acoustic.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
· Strong attentiveness and detail oriented.
· Leadership skills for directing a team of volunteers.
· Commitment and ability to work in and contribute to overall staff in team-based environment
· Experience serving in a church or worship setting is preferred.
D. Responsibilities
· Assist in the assessment of current equipment and practices by working with the digital ministries team as well as consultants to determine suitability of current equipment.
· Create educational materials and train volunteers in operating sound equipment and effective mixing.
· Serve as a resource for the digital ministries team during worship services.
· Mix sound during Sunday worship services and rehearsals as well as special services and events as needed.
· Perform sound checks to troubleshoot any equipment or audio issues prior to services or ministry event.
· Perform post-production sound edits for recordings (video and audio).
· Ensure optimal sound on recorded footage and online platforms.
· Attend or update worship ministry for their monthly meetings.
· Maintains virtual worship platforms for Westminster services including audio, visual and other media
· Other duties as assigned by the pastor to enhance worship bell music.
E.Accountability and relationships
· Accountable to the pastor as head of staff.
· Works with the pastor, other staff, appropriate session ministries, and the congregation in the performance of responsibilities
· Works with the personnel ministry in accordance with policies and procedures as identified in Westminster’s Personnel Manual.”
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $6,000.00 per year
Expected hours: 6 – 9 per week
