Multiple Part Time Options Available!

Option 1: Every other weekend First Shift (Saturday and Sunday 9a-4p).

Option 2: Every other weekend Second shift (Saturday 4p-9p and Sunday 4p-8p).

Option 3: Every other weekend Doubles (Saturday 9a-9p and Sunday 9a-8p).

Option 4: Weekday Second Shift (Monday 4p-10p AND Tuesday through Friday 4p-9p).

As a Direct Support Professional, you will:

*Be responsible for giving direct client care to the individuals who reside in residential programs to ensure the health, safety, and well-being of Participants in a safe, secure, and pleasant environment.

*Provide support, supervision, care, and guidance to Participants through the promotion and reinforcement of Participant growth and development in areas of self-care, daily living skills, socialization, and community engagement.

*Participate in the development and implementation of Participant Individual Service Plans by encouraging the residents in the acquisition of skills to achieve a greater level of independence and greater quality of life.

*Openly communicate with other service providers for the well-being of the residents and communicate with your supervisor and fellow staff members to ensure continuity of care for the residents.

*Prepare and complete required training and documentation in compliance with state regulations, company standards, and the policy and procedure manuals. *Complete required documents to ensures accurate accounting of household funds, consumer funds, as well as medical, historical, and daily information on the needs and accomplishments of the residents.

*Report programmatic or resident concerns/issues to the program's Supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A high school Degree or General Equivalency Diploma required; one year of experience working with persons with intellectual disabilities preferred.
  • At least 21 years of age
  • Good expressive and receptive communication skills, both oral and written
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Valid Pennsylvania Driver’s License
  • Ability to pass pre-employment physical

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $15.50 per hour

Expected hours: 26 – 30 per week
