Direct Support Professional (DSP) Full Time or Part Time

Starting Salary: $15.00 to $21.85 /hour (*$10.55 start for Asleep Overnight)

Full Time DSP Monday - Friday 2pm - 10pm (3 Open positions: Reserve/Banksville ; Ross Township; Greenfield)

Full Time DSP Overnight Sunday - Thursday 10pm - 9am (Ross Township)

Full Time DSP Floating Daylight Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm (exact schedule TBD), greater Pittsburgh area

Full Time DSP Block Weekend 10pm Friday - 10pm Sunday (Castle Shannon)

Part Time DSP, flexible schedule

As a Direct Support Professional you will learn to:

*Enter into respectful relationships with people with intellectual disabilities

*Do menu planning, grocery shopping, meal preparation (including special diets)

*Administer medications

*Assist with medical appointments and personal hygiene

*Help develop, carry out, and document goals and implement Individual Support plans

*Work as a team member, follow directions, and attend staff meetings as required

*Participate in community celebrations such as birthday parties and holidays

*Maintain compliance with all State and County mandated regulations

*Plan and provide residents with opportunities for socialization and recreation both at home and in the community

*Assist residents with money management and follow strict policies on safeguarding resident and agency funds

*Support the values of the Emmaus Community'
