Full job description
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care and support to individuals with Traumatic Brain Injuries
- Assist with daily living activities, including meal preparation, personal hygiene, and medication administration
- Implement individualized behavior plans and strategies to promote positive behaviors and skill development
- Engage individuals in social and recreational activities to enhance their social skills and community integration
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including nurses, social workers, and therapists, to ensure comprehensive care
- Maintain accurate documentation of services provided and progress made by individuals
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in childcare or working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities is preferred
- Ability to lift heavy objects or individuals as needed (up to 50 pounds)
- Knowledge of medication administration procedures is a plus
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with individuals, families, and team members
- Familiarity with behavioral support systems and techniques is desirable
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for transporting individuals to appointments or community outings
