Full job description

About us

Epidaurus Health is a health tech startup headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia. We are building Amphitheater, a SaaS solution designed to help payers optimize fulfillment of clinical guidelines for pharmaceutical prior authorizations. We have designed and patented a system in which best-in-class prior authorization guidelines for high-cost specialty medications are digitally curated and secured on a federated network.

As an early stage company, we are innovative, interdisciplinary, collaborative, and nimble. Our mission is to have a positive impact on patient access to the highest quality of healthcare available.

Our work environment includes:

  • Modern office setting (dog-friendly)
  • Unlimited snacks
  • Work-from-home days

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a dynamic Director of Clinical Product Strategy to help guide our technical team in developing an innovative health tech solution to solve for the inefficiencies of the prior authorization process. The ideal candidate will come from a clinical pharmacy background, ready to drive product strategy, report to key clinical stakeholders, and ensure compliance with HIPAA through all phases of testing and successive software releases.

As Director of Clinical Product Strategy, you will have the opportunity to shape the direction of Epidaurus Amphitheater through ongoing communication with key stakeholders. This is a unique chance to influence a product at an early stage as a member of an interdisciplinary and dynamic team dedicated to making an impact on patient access to care.

**Responsibilities:**

  • Collaborate with company leadership on developing and communicating product vision and strategy to key external stakeholders
  • Work directly with company leadership on ongoing market research into healthcare trends to identify opportunities for product differentiation and innovation
  • Prioritize product roadmap based on market research, user feedback, and business objectives
  • Communicate regularly with clinical end users to refine and validate product requirements throughout the software development lifecycle
  • Collect, analyze, and report on user feedback, usage logs, and performance metrics to continuously improve and optimize product
  • Work internally with product and engineering teams on documentation and gathering of requirements for integrations with new sources of health data
  • Collaborate with Director of Clinical Informatics on refining clinical data curation strategies on an ongoing basis
  • Partner with stakeholders in clinical environments to continually improve upon clinical data management and clinical analytics practices
  • Initiating and cultivating relationships with clinical stakeholders in support of new and existing product partnerships.

**Requirements:**

  • Doctor of Pharmacy with 5+ years of clinical experience
  • 3+ years of experience in development of products and/or services in a healthcare context
  • 2+ years of experience managing projects requiring governance, risk management and compliance policies for health data management
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, fast-changing work environment
  • Able to collaborate within cross-functional and interdisciplinary teams
  • Knowledgeable in the pharmaceutical benefit industry and/or health insurance industry
  • Familiar with HL7/FHIR data standards and NCPDP SCRIPT

This is an exciting opportunity for a strategic thinker with a passion for innovation and desire to grow in leadership. If you are ready to take on this challenge, we invite you to apply for this position.
