In this full-time position reporting to the Executive Director, the Director of Community Engagement, Events and Donor Services will establish and maintain strong relationships with donors, colleagues, and the community. This position will develop and maintain supporting stewardship strategies tailored toward the philanthropic goals and needs of the mission established by Fellowship Housing Opportunities, Inc.

Essential job functions and responsibilities

· In partnership with the Board of Directors, special committees and other staff, coordinate or initiate stewardship strategies for donors and professional advisors to ensure the highest quality customer service.

· Research, write, package, and provide nonprofit, initiative, community priorities, and grant-related information to support donor and prospect relationships, in collaboration with colleagues as needed.

· Develop, manage, and continue to grow a portfolio of donor relationships providing high quality customer service in response to donor inquiries.

· Provide timely follow up and grant feedback in a manner that is appropriate to the donor.

· Utilize technology and systems to track donor interest areas, information preferences, source information relevant to donor interests, communication, recognition, and record follow-up as needed.

· Develop and maintain a current understanding of initiatives and the nonprofit network we collectively work in. Maintain a good understanding of Fellowship Housing Opportunities services and who we support.

· Provide support and information to encourage online donor support.

· Develop and maintain a budget to achieve strategic goals set forth by the Executive Director. These will include financial goals based on compensation.

· Leverage relationships and communication to enhance donor service and stewardship activities by acting as a liaison with those in our industry.

· Attend grantmaking meetings, and other forums relevant to issue areas to provide timely and current information to colleagues, donors and prospects.

· Represent Fellowship Housing Opportunities at various events for the purpose of building new or strengthening existing donor, prospect and professional relationships.

· Develop, manage, and continue to grow volunteer base to support philanthropic activities.

· Participate in learning opportunities to build skills of collaboration, critical inquiry, listening, and trust and to increase understanding of issues related to our housing community.

· Provide coworker support and shared duties to balance workloads.

· Performs other duties as assigned.

Essential Qualifications

· A combination of education, BS Degree in a related field, and work experience equivalent to the needs of the position.

· High-level customer service experience in situations requiring discretion and personalized service.

· Strong computer skills, including MS Office products, email, word processing, spreadsheets, Internet, and database applications especially to monitor and use social media to share our mission.

· Experience in grant writing, securing major gifts, corporate sponsorships, and major fundraising.

Special Requirements

· Must be able to satisfactorily complete state police criminal records check to Agency standards.

· Must be able to satisfactorily complete a motor vehicle driving record check to Agency standards.

· Must be available to work in the office 5 days per week (Monday – Friday).

· Must be available to work evenings and weekends for meetings and events as needed.
