Job Summary:
The St. Alphonsus Director of Faith Formation has primary responsibility for the oversight of religious education programs, the creation of faith formation programs for youth and adults, and execution and oversight of the administration of the Safe Environment Program.
This is a full-time exempt position.

Essential responsibilities:

• Embraces and promotes the mission of the parish and the Diocese of Davenport
• Lead and oversee the Religious Education ministry for St. Alphonsus
• Implement diocesan faith formation sanctioned programs
• Plan Totus Tuus, Vacation Bible School, or a similar program each summer
• Lead OCIA each year
• Ongoing evaluation of curricula in all programs of faith formation
• Work to create an environment that enables adults, parents, and children to grow in their faith
• Team Lead and Coordinator for NCYC (National Catholic Youth Conference)
• Exemplify a team spirit in working with other staff members
• Create and maintain records for children participating in programs
• Oversee and administer Safe Environment Program
• Research educational materials and plan classes for adult ongoing formation
• Participate in ongoing formation training through the Diocese of Davenport
• Maintain and safeguard confidential information
• Perform other duties as may be assigned

Other responsibilities:

• Write articles and provide information for weekly bulletin and other publications
• Participate in editing publications when asked or assigned
• Fill-in for absent coworkers when needed
• Continued attention to personal faith formation
• Lead and develop the St. Alphonsus Social Media presence (Facebook, Instagram)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $43,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
