This position is responsible for operationalizing the vision for the Regional Office of Education #33. This position will oversee the work of ROE services, including but not limited to fingerprinting, testing, work permits, bus driver training, HLS (Health, Life, Safety), marketing and communications, building management, and technology support for ROE #33 staff. This position will work with directors of ROE programs to ensure alignment with mission, rules, regulations, and state requirements.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

ROE Services

  • Possess a thorough knowledge of federal, state and local requirements regarding programs and services of the Regional Office of Education #33.
  • Enforce state and federal guidelines.
  • Possess and stay current with knowledge of the district policies, procedures and standards regarding education.
  • Possess and stay current with knowledge of the ethical guidelines applicable to the position as outlined by professional organizations and/or federal, state and local laws, rules and regulations.
  • Possess and stay current with knowledge of the current literature, trends, and developments in programs of the Regional Office of Education #33.
  • Possess and stay current with knowledge of the principles of supervision, organization and administration.
  • Interpret educational policies and procedures.
  • Implement policies and procedures of ROE #33.
  • Support directors in implementation and development of programs and activities of the Regional Office of Education as required by state, federal, and local regulations and in applicable grant applications.
  • Create and implement an ROE dashboard aligned to strategic priorities of programs and services.
  • Oversee data collection through Report of Official Acts, Annual Report, and Strategic Dashboard.
  • Provide leadership in ROE staff and committee meetings to ensure alignment to ROE Vision and Mission and cross communication.
  • Provide oversight, updates, and training on ROE Crisis plan.
  • Coordinate specific professional learning activities for ROE staff that are aligned to crisis planning and safety.
  • Oversee school safety initiatives in the region and within the ROE organization, including work on Threat Assessment. Operationalize the four pillars of safety: Pillar #1: Behavior Threat Assessment and Management; Pillar #2: Hardening of Facilities; Pillar #3: Standard Response Protocol; and Pillar #4: Other (GIS Mapping, communications, reunification, etc.).
  • Coordinate ROE supervisor meetings.
  • Collaborate with Regional Superintendent, Assistant Regional Superintendent, and ROE supervisors to plan and implement all-staff meetings and trainings.
  • Collaborate with Regional Superintendent, Assistant Regional Superintendent, and ROE supervisors to plan and implement region principal meetings.
  • Collaborate with Regional Superintendent, Assistant Regional Superintendent, and ROE supervisors to plan and implement region superintendent meetings.
  • Develop and maintain close working relationships with local and state agencies, area commerce, industry, labor organizations, social service and government agencies, elected officials, community colleges and universities to best meet the vision and mission of the ROE.
  • Oversee records retention and disposal.
  • Assist directors in the administration and monitoring of all grants and grant expenditures.
  • Actively pursue state and federal funds for ROE programs and services.
  • Oversee the collection, review, and submission of all forms and reports of the ROE.
  • Evaluate personnel according to the evaluation tools of Regional Office of Education #33.
  • Oversee and monitor the coordination and completion of Health, Life, Safety inspections, reports, amendments, permits, and grants.
  • Supervise and evaluate work of ROE Services personnel.
  • Oversee the work of ROE services, including but not limited to fingerprinting, testing, work permits, bus driver training, HLS (Health, Life, Safety), marketing and communications, building management, and technology support for ROE #33.
  • Oversee building management, custodial, and maintenance needs of all ROE locations.
  • Collaborate and communicate regularly with Regional Superintendent and Assistant Regional Superintendent to strategically plan, implement, assess, and improve programs and services of the ROE.

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, & CRITICAL SKILLS

  • PEL with Principal Endorsement required.
  • Administrative experience required.
  • Knowledge of Google Suite and Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, etc. and Virtual Meeting Platforms.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 20 lbs.
  • Ability to push/pull up to 10 lbs.
  • Ability to communicate to students, parents and staff in an acceptable/courteous manner.
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills to work with teachers,
  • education support personnel, building administrators and the general public.
  • Enforce ROE regulations and policies in a professional manner.
  • Ability to maintain good working relationships with fellow employees and pupils.
  • Understanding and awareness of multicultural needs
  • Ability to maintain a positive and collaborative relationship/attitude across all ROE programs.

SCHEDULING

The work hours for this position are Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. based on the ROE Calendar, 7.5 hours per day and 37.5 hours per week. The schedule is subject to change with ROE demands.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
