Job Summary

Direct all planning, management, and evaluation of two Upward Bound outreach programs serving two high schools in far Northern California. Develop long and short-range plans to increase the overall presence of College and Career Options in the region and to achieve program application and enrollment goals.

Develop, implement and coordinate outreach activities and services to meet program enrollment goals of the US Department of Education, with particular emphasis on increasing the postsecondary applications and matriculation rates of disadvantaged students.

Establish appropriate assessment and evaluation tools for both programs. Collect, organize and evaluate program participant data to determine enrollment patterns of students and determine focus of program efforts. Prepare written reports to determine and evaluate program outcomes and effectiveness. Submit annual performance reports.

Supervise two Program Advisors assigned to the target schools and develop and manage two annual Upward Bound budgets.

Plan and implement fundraising strategies to secure financial support from local, regional, national foundations and corporations.

Occasionally serve in an advising role for clients seeking information on postsecondary enrollment at the College and Career Options Center in Redding, Ca.
