Our Assistant General Manager provides support and direction in operations of the dispensary, working closely with the GM and executive team to give direction and leadership toward the organization's mission, strategy, and annual goals and objectives. The ideal candidate will have previous experience managing within a dispensary, excellent people skills, a genuine passion for the cannabis industry and the well-being of customers.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • A critical element of the role will be to ensure that the environment and customer experience reflect the Company vision and values.
  • Provide strategic direction and thought leadership to the retail organization, with a strong understanding of the market and customer needs, as well as anticipating future needs.
  • Maintains a presence on the sales floor in order to effectively coach and support the dispensary team.
  • Perform a significant role in defining objectives, strategies and plans. Works effectively with cross functional partners (Operations, inventory/planning, finance, advocacy, etc.) to implement those plans.
  • Maximize retail productivity, sales, and profit, while ensuring that standards of service excellence are continuously met and improved upon.
  • Recommend and implement techniques to improve productivity, increase efficiencies, enhance customer experience, and maintain best in class practices.
  • Work closely with marketing and social media teams to communicate store brand presence, incentives, events, and product offerings.
  • Identify KPI’s, trends, and opportunities to define changes in processes and procedures that drive operations and selling agendas.
  • Responsible for driving brand initiatives, including overseeing the customer experience of the brand and community/customer/governmental outreach within this channel.
  • Proactively collects the voice of the customer feedback and uses feedback to implement new product offerings.
  • Comprehensive analysis of P&L reports.
  • Ensures a world class experience exists for our customers.
  • Understands and remains current on market demand for product offerings and ensures dispensary teams are trained to meet customer needs.
  • Creates an environment in which a personal, customer focused, and service-oriented mentality is standard.
  • Ensuring effective succession planning by identifying and developing future leaders with an interest and potential to grow.
  • Ensure dispensary and personnel are in accordance with company policy and state regulations, in all operations, processes, inventory management and protocol.
  • Partners with internal teams to ensure product and store allocations provide a cohesive strategy and brand experience to drive sales revenue opportunities.
  • Develops training and reinforces service, product, operations, and management expectations through training and development of store teams.
  • Maintains a presence in the California cannabis industry networking events and trade associations.
  • Ensures operational priorities, processes and procedures are communicated, understood and executed consistently.
  • Maintains headcount to ensure productivity of the store.

You have:

  • Passion about the use of cannabis for consumers.
  • At least 2 years of medical/recreational dispensary management experience.
  • Knowledge of California Cannabis Law (a big plus!)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent people and organizational skills.
  • A sense of urgency, high energy, positive attitude, solution-oriented approach to problem solving, coach able mindset, and are eager to contribute wherever there is a need.
  • Must be at least 21 years old
