Job Overview

The Dispensary Associate reports directly to the Shop Manager at Pine Grove Organics. They are responsible for assisting in all daily operations of the Dispensary, being part of a customer-centric team, and achieving company initiatives. Additionally, the Dispensary Associate maintains company policies and procedures and ensures compliance with all state and local laws and regulations.

Duties and Responsibilities

Customer Service & Sales Engagement

• Ensure customers are greeted and checked-in according to company policies and procedures.
• Assist customers by guiding them to the bud tenders, answering product questions, and handing off the sale.
• Provide product recommendations.
• Inform customers of new products, current promotions, and upcoming events.
• Assist bud tenders with order preparation - fulfill online orders & pre-build orders prior to the point-of-sale.
• Encourage customers to sign-up for Dutchie Pay and Loyalty platform.
• Answer Store Phone - answer questions and direct customers/vendors to the website.
• Receive and keep records of vendor sample drops.
• Provide Leadership with customer feedback in a timely manner.

Operational Tasks and Work

• Prepare product packaging - sticker flower bags, stamp shopping bags, sticker pre-roll tubes, and apply necessary labels to all other inventory.
• Summarize key shift notes via a detailed Shift Report.
• Perform general office work, such as filing records, operating copy/print machines, sorting change, and other duties as assigned.
• Maintain dispensary cleanliness according to cleaning checklists.
• Maintain dispensary aesthetic according to the PGO brand, including music selection.
• May include cannabis inventory handling as assigned.
• Participate in bi-weekly check-ins with leadership members

Compliance

• Manage flow of customers throughout the dispensary.
• Check customer IDs and ensure validity.
• Accurately collect customer information in the POS System.
• Maintain confidentiality of customer identity & information.
• Maintain compliance with all local and state regulations.
• Monitor security cameras and enforce company security protocols.
• Follows all cannabis Safe Handling Policies.

Qualifications

• Must be computer literate.
• Must be at least 21 years old and have a valid ID.
• Must demonstrate ability to obtain a VT CCB Employee ID Card.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check as it pertains to VT guidelines.
• Participates in and embraces a team environment.
• Experience in cannabis, retail, hospitality, or patient services preferred.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

• Must be able to sit/stand for extended periods.
• Ability to work a minimum of 5 hours a day.
• Flexible schedule availability to include some evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Ability and willingness to work in the following conditions:
• General office environment;
• Extended computer usage;
• Work environments that include exposure to, but not limited to: cannabis odors, indoor Heat & Air Conditioner, motion, and noise;
• High-paced sales environment.
