CAREER OPPORTUNITY

Job Title: Donation Driver

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Pay Range: $13.00-$17.00/hour, depending on experience

Reports To: Executive Director

Location: 1526 13th Street, Columbus, IN, 47201

Job Type: Full-time

Position Overview

The Donation Driver will manage responsibilities for driving the Sans Souci truck and completing pick-up donations.

General Responsibilities

  • Support Sans Souci’s mission and vision and using it as a basis for carrying out all job responsibilities
  • Maintains policies and procedures
  • Providing friendly, helpful service to donors and customers
  • Responsible for driving Sans Souci truck and successfully picking up donations
  • Assists with bringing in donations at the Sans Souci Donation Center
  • Selecting efficient driving routes
  • Safely operating the truck at all times
  • Load items into truck in a safe manner to ensure that items will not shift while in motion
  • Greeting donors and offering tax receipts
  • Assuring that donation trucks are in good, working condition and tell Operations Supervisor when maintenance is needed
  • Print off truck schedule each morning
  • Taking items to the landfill or recycling as needed
  • Maintain a valid Indiana driver’s license with excellent driving record
  • Train new individuals on how to properly perform assigned duties
  • Keep Executive Director informed and complete tasks as assigned by the Executive Director
  • Any other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • A valid Indiana Driver’s license
  • Excellent driving record
  • Ability to consistently lift and load heavy donation items (40+ pounds)
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent attendance
  • A positive attitude
  • Available to work full-time between the hours of 8am-8pm all days of the week

  • Every other Saturday required
