Overview

The Driver Coordinator ensures MOWEOC has enough trained and active Driver volunteers to operate efficiently on a daily basis while helping the organization fulfill its mission long-term by preparing for growth and change. Reporting to the Executive Director, the Driver Coordinator will be the primary lead and organizer of the volunteer program. This position will work collaboratively with the Operations Staff to manage the training and scheduling of volunteers to make sure the meals are properly prepared and delivered on a daily basis.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Determine driver volunteer needs of the organization, including long-range planning

2. Handle driver volunteer interviews and on-boarding, develop and maintain Volunteer Handbook and Orientation Sessions

3. Lead volunteer recruitment activities, which may include working with groups/companies, speaking engagements, and attending fairs, etc.

4. Volunteer training, in collaboration with operations staff, develop and schedule regular training sessions

5. Ongoing driver volunteer scheduling, responsible for adequate coverage of drivers on a daily basis; maintaining and publishing driver volunteer schedules using MOW scheduler; and recruiting coverage for special projects and events. Driver volunteer contact and substitute arrangements being made outside normal business hours is required.

6. Supervise and be the main contact for driver volunteers; handling any issues that arise in an appropriate and timely manner

7. Maintain tracking and reporting of driver volunteer hours as needed

8. Lead volunteer engagement activities, in collaboration with operations staff, including meetings, appreciation/recognition functions, and maintaining regular communications

9. Responsible for scheduling and managing test meals

10. Organize route sheets daily in green bags

11. All other duties as assigned by Executive Director

Anticipated schedule Monday-Friday 9am-1pm

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week
