ECHO Grant Coordinator

Reports to ECHO Director

Primary Contacts CCC staff, YCEA staff, community members, child care owners, administrators, and staff

Status This is a grant funded position.

Job summary

The ECHO Grant Coordinator works under the guidance of the ECHO Director to provide staff support in the grant approval and grant management process including grant reconciliation; the goal of ECHO is to increase the number of low- income children enrolled in high quality early childhood education programs in York County.

Summary of Grants Specialist job responsibilities

Assists with creating and maintaining grant review process for grants and funding opportunities for early childhood education providers.

Recruit grant applicants, monitor the application process, communicate with participants, answer questions, maintain standards and commitment.

Creates and maintains filing system for grant documents, processes, and applications.

Assists in data collection and production of reports.

Reviews award applications for meaningful relation to the requirements of the grant, and for compliance with applicable state and federal regulations; communicates with programs to obtain clarifications and missing documentation/information.

Administers grant review committee and participates in grant information sessions.

Assists with creating and maintaining the fiscal monitoring process.

Maintains current and accurate records using Foundant Software, PELICAN, PD Registry, and internal spreadsheets.

Attends and participates in agency, department, and other meetings and training opportunities.

Represents ECHO and Community Connections for Children at community visibility events.

Promotes and supports the mission, values and goals of Community Connections for Children, maintaining high performance standards.

Administrative support includes but is not limited to meeting minutes, scheduling, and planning.

Regularly reports activities, successes, and challenges to the ECHO Director.

Proficient computer skills in word processing, spreadsheets, and presentations (MSOffice preferred).

Ability to input, access, manipulate, and retrieve information from a computer, use a telephone and mobile phone.

Normal physical demands associated with work in an office environment, including lifting, bending, and carrying.

Minimum qualifications and experience

Preferred associate’s degree or higher in Business Administration, Early Childhood Education, or a related field.

Minimum of two years of relevant experience.

Bilingual preferred.

Grant administration and software experience preferred.

Work schedule

Rotation Schedule: Weeks 1, 2, 3 – 8-hour shift Mon. – Fri., hours as assigned, ½ hour lunch break

Week 4 – 7.5-hour shift Mon. – Thurs., hours as assigned, ½ hour lunch break
