About McPhee

McPhee Electric, a Phalcon Company, is a leading electrical contractor supporting complex commercial, infrastructure, and utility projects throughout the region. Our teams build and power critical facilities that support communities, businesses, and essential services.

At McPhee, safety is not simply a compliance program. It is part of how we operate. Our teams work within a QSP culture — Quality, Safety, and Productivity working together to deliver exceptional results while protecting our people.

We are seeking an experienced Construction Safety Manager/ Safety Professional who can partner closely with electricians, foremen, project managers, and leadership to proactively identify hazards, strengthen safe work practices, and support safe execution of electrical construction work.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys being in the field, building trust with crews, and helping teams plan work safely before it begins.

We welcome candidates with safety experience supporting electrical contractors, utility contractors, or industrial construction environments.

Field Safety Leadership

  • Conduct routine safety inspections and audits across active electrical construction job sites.
  • Partner with foremen, general foremen, electricians, and project managers to identify hazards and implement practical safety solutions.

  • Evaluate the effectiveness of field safety planning and training.
  • Reinforce McPhee’s QSP philosophy: Quality, Safety, and Productivity working together.

  • Facilitate CPR / First Aid / AED training programs.
  • Coach field leaders on safe work planning and hazard recognition.
  • Evaluate how training is applied in the field and provide guidance when improvements are needed.

Project Safety Collaboration

  • Work closely with project managers and superintendents to support safe execution of electrical installations.
  • Develop and maintain Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) and risk assessments.
  • Provide safety planning support for complex work activities including electrical installations and utility infrastructure work.
  • Build strong relationships with general contractor safety teams and site safety committees.

Incident Prevention & Investigation

  • Respond to jobsite incidents and near misses when necessary.
  • Conduct incident investigations and root cause analysis.
  • Identify trends and implement preventative measures.
  • Support injured employee case management and return-to-work coordination when applicable.

Driver & Equipment Safety

  • Maintain DOT driver qualification files and ensure compliance.
  • Review vehicle telematics data and conduct ride-alongs when necessary.
  • Ensure safety equipment is inspected, maintained, and available to field personnel.
