The Electrical Design Engineer will be a member of the Pack Development team focused on developing next generation battery management solutions that will connect 24M’s revolutionary products to the high growth energy storage market. The team member will be instrumental in embedded controller electronics hardware development ensuring that their designs of responsibility function as intended in the applications.

Responsibilities:

· Design and development of electrical circuits for battery management systems and supporting test systems and interfaces.

· End to end ownership from concept design to validation and deployment, including design documentation and test plans and reports: requirements, architecture, specifications, simulations, schematic capture, printed circuit board layout, design reviews, development, DFMEA, validation, and system integration.

· Participation in formal and informal technical meetings with follow-up on assignments to closure including publication of minutes and actions when leading.

· Flexibility for additional time and global time zone availability from time to time will be necessary.

Skills and Experience:

· 3+ years of engineering design and development.

  • Solid grounding in scientific and engineering fundamentals and methods, including signal integrity and electromagnetic compatibility (EMI/EMC).
  • Proficient with CAD design tools: schematic capture, pcboard layout, and simulation.

· Outstanding problem-solving and troubleshooting acumen.

· Experience with salient instrumentation and equipment.

  • Ability to follow safety protocols.

· Attention to detail.

· Self-motivation for continuous improvement of designs and problem-solving methods.

· Dedication to high-performance of team and commitment to customer satisfaction.

  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment: ability to commit to aggressive timelines and to deliver on commitments.

· Excellent interpersonal and communications skills: positive outlook, enthusiasm, and proven ability to professionally communicate and interact with diverse personalities.

· Works well in a team environment: willingness to share skills and information and mentor others.

· Coachable: able to act on management and team member feedback and direction.

· Embedded firmware/software and software application development experience a plus.

· Lithium-ion battery systems engineering experience a plus.

· High-voltage electrical isolation design experience a plus.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Tech
