Robotic Perimeter Security
Asylon develops field deployable infrastructure for automated robots in order to augment the security teams of our clients. DroneCore, our full stack aerial and ground robotics solution, is revolutionizing the way the security industry operates by providing capabilities to security teams that they have never had before.
Position
Asylon is hiring a full time Electrical Engineer to join our Philadelphia team. This position will oversee the design, testing, and manufacturing of various electrical systems of the DroneCore product including control systems, battery management, and mechatronics.

Primary duties include:
- Design, test, and maintain electrical systems on the DroneCore products, including circuit boards and wire harnesses.
- Improve upon existing systems to ensure they meet customer requirements. Examples include battery management circuits, actuator control systems, and environmental controllers.
- Establish manufacturing and QA methods for PCBs, wire harnesses, and other electrical components to ensure they meet industry standards.
Required Skills and Experience:
- 7+ years professional experience
- Electrical Design and ECAD, including circuit design, schematic capture, and board layout/design.
- PCB fabrication
- PCB testing and debugging
- Experience prototyping and fabricating new products
- Circuit simulation
- Analog design
- Experience with linear systems
- Reading and interpreting schematics and electrical diagrams
- Passion for robotics!
Bonus Points:
- Using VNAs, including interpreting Smith Charts and interpreting loss and phase over frequency range
- Antenna theory
- Firmware (C and C++)
- Power supply design, including AC to DC and DC to DC
- Experience with PLCs, and other robotic control systems
