Full job description

LNK Energies is looking for an Electrical Engineer who thrives in ambiguity and wants true ownership of what they build. This is not a narrowly scoped role—you’ll lead the electrical engineering of our system end to end, from early lab-scale prototypes to full integration into a class 8 heavy-duty truck. You’ll work hands-on with hardware, controls, and vehicle systems, making real design decisions that directly shape the final product. If you’re excited by building from scratch, learning as you go, and seeing your work move from the lab into a working truck, this role offers the chance to have outsized technical impact.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement the electrical architecture for a chemical reactor, including sensors, actuators, valves, controls, and safety systems
  • Develop controls interfaces and support system-level control strategy implementation
  • Lead electrical integration of the reactor into a Class 8 truck platform
  • Review and reverse-engineer truck electrical schematics to interface with existing vehicle systems
  • Design wiring harnesses and connectors suitable for vehicle-grade, commercial deployment
  • Support testing, debugging, and iteration of integrated systems in lab and vehicle environments
  • Prepare systems for pilot-scale and early commercial use

Qualifications

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Strong fundamentals in electrical systems, controls, and instrumentation
  • Hands-on experience with sensors, wiring, and hardware integration
  • Comfortable working with incomplete information and learning as you go
  • Creative, self-directed, and willing to take ownership of open-ended problems

What We’re Looking For

This role is highly hands-on and exploratory. There is no predefined playbook—you’ll be building systems that haven’t been integrated before. We’re looking for someone who enjoys figuring things out from first principles, adapting quickly, and taking responsibility for critical technical decisions.

If you’re excited to build real hardware, work across disciplines, and help bring a new energy technology into heavy-duty transportation, we’d love to hear from you.
