Position Overview:
Join our dedicated team at Albuquerque ER & Hospital, where we prioritize fast, top-tier emergency care for our patients and their families. We are seeking a dynamic and skilled EMT-B or EMT-I to enhance our emergency department team. This role will allow you to make a significant impact on patient care while working within our state-of-the-art facility, which offers a wide range of outpatient imaging services.

Job Schedule: PRN

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:

• Perform vital signs and accurately document them.
• Conduct venipuncture and IV placement as required.
• Clean and manage wounds under supervision.
• Operate laboratory equipment, perform point-of-care testing, and oversee quality controls.
• Maintain knowledge of lab instruments and their operation.
• Monitor and restock medical supplies to ensure efficiency in patient care.
• Report equipment issues promptly to the nurse manager.
• Update and maintain the patient database in accordance with the established protocols.
• Execute additional duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor or department director.

Job Competencies:

• Proficient in navigating and utilizing Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
• Understanding of and compliance with hospital policies and procedures.
• Ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary professionals effectively.
• Commitment to ethical practice and people-centered care.
• Actively participate as a part of the healthcare team.
• Communicate information and ideas clearly, both orally and in writing.
• Willingness to assist colleagues as needed.

Qualifications Required:

• EMT-Paramedic Certification required; minimum of 2 years of experience in emergency medical care.
• 1 year of hospital experience.
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS.
• Dependable, responsible, and passionate about providing high-quality emergency patient care.
• Strong interpersonal skills to relate well with all levels of hospital staff and patients.
• Computer-savvy!

Pay: $17.00 - $23.00 per hour
