The Opportunity:
Creativity, development and innovation is the heartbeat of Dober, and we're seeking a strong Engineering Assembler to work on our Spindle Team. Spindle is a technology company that builds the infrastructure for industrial operations to measure and improve their productivity. Businesses of every size – from startups to public companies – use our software to collect data and manage their industrial operations more efficiently.
The main responsibilities will include:
Equipment Assembly/Manufacture:
- Build Dober’s full range of standard equipment e.g., Chemical pumping systems, Bulk Transfer Stations, Cooling Tower Feeders etc. to the highest quality standards and to meet the priorities and deadlines of the Engineering Department schedule.
- Frame preparation (Drilling for rivet nuts and attaching plastic)
- Assembling valve manifolds & other assemblies
- Attaching all sub-assemblies
- Wiring control cabinets
- Testing of finished equipment
- Completing Work Order inventory when completing a machine
- Crating finished equipment
Upholding a Culture of Safety:
- Report all accidents and/ or spills immediately.
- Isolate oil-based products and raw materials to eliminate possibility of product escaping into any drains.
- Consider participation as member of Emergency Response Team.
- Attend regular toolbox talk meetings.
- All employees are responsible for daily safety inspection of forklifts, eye wash stations and other safety equipment.
Inventory Management
- Notifying Shop Foreman of any parts inventory needs. I.e. If you are taking the last of something on the shelf let someone know so it can be reordered.
- Assist in taking of periodic physical inventories for accounting purposes.
- Assist in checking in incoming stock and placing in appropriate location.
Equipment Refurbishment
- Old systems from customers are to be refurbished.
- Evaluate and remove all bad parts.
- Clean frame and all pieces that are going to be used over with soap, water, & possibly other cleaners to like new condition.
- Assemble with required components and test system to make sure it operates like new.
- Complete inventory of parts used.
- Crate system.
Woodridge Facility Maintenance
- Assist in troubleshooting and / or solving other technical issues within the facility.
- Emergency response for failures e.g., pipe leak, roof leak until third party support arrives.
Shop Clean Up
- All shop members are responsible for picking up their tools and work area.
- Keeping the shop organized and presentable for tours that may come through with little to no notice.
Required Qualifications / Experience:
- Must have knowledge of and work safely with basic power tools.
- Must have and be able to work with basic mathematical skills and be able to understand and use standard measurement tools.
- Well organized.
- Strong attention to detail especially regarding precise measurements for completing finished product.
- Must have high level of interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with fellow team members.
- High School education is required with additional 3-5 years of technical background.
- Experience in basic electrical and plumbing procedures is beneficial.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
