New England Municipal Resource Center (NEMRC) is a computer software and professional services company that is based in Vermont and has been in business for 38 years. We have been a leader in Municipal Government providing software and support solutions to the municipalities in Vermont and throughout the United States. Our software products range from Accounting, Town Clerk, Utility Billing, Tax Billing / Receivables, Parcel Mapping, and Computer Assisted Mass Appraisal (CAMA) software.

Full Time Position Available: Entry level Property Appraisal Data Collector

This position is part of the NEMRC team of Assessor/Appraisers. We perform property assessments for municipalities across Vermont using our Computer Assisted Mass Appraisal (CAMA) program. Our staff appraises residential, commercial, agricultural, and condominium properties used to develop a municipal grand list.

Description:

Outdoor and indoor year-round work. This position involves inspection and collection of property characteristics for valuation purposes. The data is collected using our tablet technology. Our tablets allow us to enter data, take pictures and sketch each property. The position requires attention to detail and the ability to communicate with a wide range of property owners and municipal officials. A working knowledge and comfort with a Windows PC is necessary.

Qualifications:

Ability to interact with a wide variety of people in a positive and professional manner

High school diploma or equivalent

Math skills to calculate square footage, ratios, etc.

Self motivated, Detail oriented, Organized

Strong communication skills

Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, proof of automobile insurance

Willing to travel throughout the State of Vermont and work in all types of weather

Ability to work as a team

Proficient in operation of windows PC (saving files, uploading and downloading data)

Proficient in MS Office or Google Docs/Sheets, Meet or equivalent software

Comfortable using video conferencing software such as meet or teams

Ability to navigate terrain to measure exterior of buildings

Ability to maneuver up and down stairs inside and outside buildings

Background in the following a plus but not required:

Property Appraisal - Carpentry - Zoning - Deed Reading - Real estate - Parcel Mapping

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
