Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the pre-construction phase by providing accurate cost estimates for various construction projects. This position requires strong analytical skills and a thorough understanding of construction processes, allowing you to effectively assess project requirements and negotiate contracts.

Duties

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labor, and overhead costs.
  • Analyze blueprints and project specifications to determine necessary resources and timelines.
  • Collaborate with project managers to ensure estimates align with project goals and budgets.
  • Utilize software tools such as Bluebeam for accurate estimating and documentation.
  • Conduct site visits to gather information on project conditions and requirements.
  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors to secure the best pricing while maintaining quality standards.
  • Monitor ongoing projects for cost control, ensuring adherence to budget constraints throughout the construction process.
  • Provide support in project management tasks as needed, ensuring timely completion of projects.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in construction estimating or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of cost control measures and budgeting processes within the construction industry.
  • Familiarity with construction site operations and safety protocols.
  • Experience in estimating software is preferred.
  • Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in estimates.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
  • A degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field is advantageous but not mandatory.
