The Woolworth is a state-of-the-art theatre, event space and cocktail lounge (Marquee Nashville). Utilizing three levels of entertainment space, world-class audio-visual technology, with in-house catering and dining options, The Woolworth is a premier destination for entertainment events and leisure.

Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Event Sales Manager to join our team. This role is responsible for driving private event, catering and group sales, cultivating strong client relationships, and ensuring flawless execution of events that align with the venue’s entertainment-driven atmosphere.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter with proven sales experience in hospitality, catering, events, and live entertainment, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and has a passion for creating memorable guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively generate new business through prospecting, networking, partnerships, and client outreach.
  • Manage the entire sales cycle from inquiry to contract, ensuring clear communication and timely follow-up.
  • Conduct venue tours, present proposals, and tailor packages to meet client needs.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (operations, culinary, marketing, entertainment) to ensure seamless event execution.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with corporate clients, agencies, promoters, and social planners.
  • Achieve and exceed individual and venue-wide sales targets and revenue goals.
  • Maintain an updated pipeline of leads, bookings, and client information in CRM software.
  • Stay current on market trends, competitor offerings, and industry best practices to maximize opportunities.
  • Represent the venue at networking events, trade shows, and community functions.
  • Provide post-event follow-up, ensuring client satisfaction and repeat business.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of sales experience in hospitality, live entertainment, food & beverage, or related field.
  • Strong background in group sales, event planning, or private dining.
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding revenue goals.
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in CRM software, MS Office/Google Workspace, TripleSeat, etc
  • Ability to thrive in a high-energy, entertainment-focused environment with evening and weekend availability as needed.
