Full job description

Maine Custom Woodlands is hiring an Excavation Equipment Operator. Individual will be responsible for safely operating heavy equipment such as bulldozers, excavators, and skidsteers with various attachments. Individual will prepare land for timber harvesting, including installing logging roads, wood yards, and temporary stream crossings, as well as post-harvest clean-up and closeout. Other tasks include civil site work for residential and commercial projects, such a installing septic systems, foundations, utilities etc. This is a year-round, full-time, weekday position.

Qualifications:
-Must possess a valid driver’s license (Class A or B license a plus)
-Must be a self-starter who is able to work independently and efficiently
-Must be organized, punctual, and mechanically-inclined
-Two years of excavation operating experience required
-Experience with GIS systems (e.g. Trimble) a plus
-Ability to use a laser a plus
