Executive Assistant to the General Manager
Viident Co.
Erlanger, KY
Do you thrive off organization and executing tasks?
Do you have a “whatever it takes” and “no task is too big or too small” mentality?
Do you find great satisfaction in supporting other people to help them be the best they can be?
If this sounds like you, this could be an awesome fit…
This position is a unique and integral part of supporting a small and intricate book publishing team. Responsibilities may include listening to audiobooks, reviewing and monitoring websites, creating filing systems, monitoring our live books across multiple platforms, and being another set of eyes on copy, including eBooks, manuscripts, and book descriptions.
You’ll be assisting the General Manager of an independent publishing company built by an entrepreneurial thought leader and New York Times bestselling author, Matthew Kelly. (www.matthewkelly.com).
We’ll spell it out clearly:
- You’ll prioritize, manage, and contribute to a variety of projects and key initiatives as directed by the General Manager and derived from the team’s needs
- You will collaborate with the internal team and external professionals to execute company goals
- You’ll anticipate and respond to the day-to-day needs of the Viident team, supporting the overall publishing production process in a variety of areas
- You’ll complete additional responsibilities pertaining to a support role as needed and requested, organized around the work
Publishing isn’t as easy as it may seem, but it’s so worth it. We hit hard deadlines and pivot onto new projects in the blink of an eye. You’ll have to be efficient and accurate while under high stress. You’ll have to be organized and meticulous all while collaborating with a team of individuals who may have different insights than you.
If you gulped while reading that – move on. If you’re thinking, I love a good challenge and I’m not afraid to get the work done, keep reading!
