About NGP and NGPAF:

New Georgia Project (NGP) is a non-partisan, 501c3 nonprofit organization formed to register the unregistered people of color in the state of Georgia. Our work is based in registering and advocating for Georgians of color (Black, Latinos, Asian-Americans) while engaging them in the democratic process and participating in collective actions around common issue areas. Those issue areas include voting rights, quality and affordable health care, economic justice, civil rights and more.

This role will serve as the EA/QC for the Statesboro office, working directly for the Chief Field Operations Officer.

New Georgia Project Action Fund (NGPAF) is NGP’s non-partisan, 501c4 affiliate organization. It was formed to increase the civic participation of underrepresented and underserved communities of color. NGPAF does this by engaging in local and state political campaigns, in support of, or opposition to, ballot measures, referendums, recalls, initiatives and candidacies for local and state offices.

Position Summary:

NGP and NGPAF are vibrant, independent, fast-paced, non-partisan voter registration and civic organization that have seen explosive growth in the last twelve months and are headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia. NGP and NGPAF seek a collaborative, and innovative professional that will join the Organization during an exciting time of transformation.

The Executive Assistant will provide administrative support to the Chief of Field Operations, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations and enabling the Chief to focus on strategic leadership. This is a critical support role that requires exceptional organizational skills, discretion, and a passion for social justice.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide administrative support to the Chief of Field Operations, including:

· Managing calendars, scheduling meetings, and coordinating travel

· Handling correspondence, emails, and phone calls

· Preparing materials for meetings and presentations

· Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion

· Coordinate logistics for field operations, including events, trainings, and meetings

· Develop and maintain accurate records, databases, and spreadsheets

· Provide support for special projects and initiatives as needed

· Collaborate with other departments, including communications, digital, and fundraising

Analyze & Communicate

· Review, scan, and verify data from our outreach campaigns.

· Provide feedback reports to canvass managers regarding discrepancies identified.

· Use of VAN and other relevant database store port findings to Headquarters (HQ).

· Identify potential issues with program results and communicate information with canvass managers and HQ.

Required Qualifications

Quality Control

· 3+ years of quality control experience for organizations and institutions of similar size and budget

· 2+ years of Adobe Acrobat Professional, Microsoft Excel, and NGP VAN experience.

· 3+ years of experience working in teams and participating in cross-departmental planning with a diverse group of stakeholders.

· 2+ years of experience as an executive assistant or in a related role

· 2+ years of hand-on political campaign experience.

· 25% of statewide travel is required.

Scope and Impact:

The incumbent will have a passion and commitment for NGP’s and NGPAF’s mission, history, and its work. They will understand how this role contributes to the overall mission, drawing inspiration for the position of EA/QC from the community and support to the Chief Field Operations Officer in administrative operations. This person will be an inspiring and empathic individual of unquestioned integrity, ethics and values, treating others with respect. Additionally, this position has recurring work situations that involve having a high degree of discretion. The need for accuracy and effective utilization of accepted programs and routines is high. Errors in judgment will waste resources and adversely impact performance.

Primarily works in an office environment with a desk, chair, and quality lighting;

Compensation and Benefits:

Salary is commensurate with experience and within the parameters of the NGP and NGPAF compensation scale. Benefits include three weeks of vacation to start and access to medical, dental and vision insurance plans, as well as a retirement plan with an employer match.
