Full job description
Heidi's Restaurant Group is looking for an Executive Chef to oversee operations for our three restaurants with growth possibilities. Locations include: Croissants Bistro and Bakery , Hook & Barrel & The Coffee & Cream Cabana.
To perform this job successfully, you must be able to perform each essential task. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required:
- Developing unique and cuisine-appropriate menus
- Monitoring food production in regards to costs & consistency
- Staying current on developing trends in the restaurant industry
- Maintaining the kitchen and equipment in conditions that meet the company standards and health code regulations
- Monitoring inventory and purchasing supplies and food from approved vendors
- Managing kitchen team through scheduling, payroll, training, coaching, evaluating and hiring
- Assisting and directing kitchen staff in meal preparation, creation, plating and delivery
- Identifying and introducing new culinary techniques
- Preparing meals and completing prep support as needed
- Supervising the preparation and cooking of all food items
- Develop and implement creative menu items within the restaurant concepts
- Utilizing local ingredients
- Plan, coordinate & implement menus for special events and holiday functions in cooperation with dining room & beverage managers
- Mentoring our team towards achieving exceptional guest service and employee satisfaction results
Qualifications:
· 3+ years in a leadership role in kitchen operations
· Strong leadership, supervisory and communication skills
· Passion and extensive knowledge of seafood and the restaurant industry
· Proven ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, guests and vendors
· Must be extremely organized
Schedule:
· Includes evenings, weekends, some holidays, and on call. Closed on Sundays.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
