Social Syndicate is looking for an experienced and passionate Executive Chef to lead the culinary vision for one of our locations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead all back-of-house operations, ensuring kitchen performance, food quality, and guest satisfaction
  • Schedule and coordinate kitchen staff to meet operational needs while hitting labor cost goals
  • Maintain high standards of food preparation, consistency, and presentation
  • Monitor food, labor, and supply costs for maximum profitability
  • Approve purchasing and collaborate with food vendors to ensure quality and consistency
  • Work closely with FOH/BOH managers and ownership to align on vision and service execution
  • Ensure health and safety standards are upheld, including local codes and internal protocols
  • Maintain a cleaning and maintenance schedule for kitchen areas and equipment
  • Promote safety through ongoing staff training in sanitation, knife safety, and accident prevention
  • Provide training and development for culinary team members to foster growth and excellence
  • Take on additional duties and special projects as needed

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience at the Sous Chef level or higher in a high-volume, full-service kitchen
  • Culinary degree preferred but not required
  • ServSafe Certification
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop staff
  • Deep understanding of kitchen systems, cost controls, and labor management
  • Knowledge of proper knife techniques and kitchen safety practices
  • Detail-oriented, calm under pressure, and results-driven
  • Strong computer skills, especially Microsoft Excel; must be tech-savvy and adaptable to company systems and software

Bonus Points:

  • Experience with coastal or seafood-forward cuisine
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)
  • Experience with multi-unit or hospitality group operations
