The Lead Carpenter should have prior experience and not only possess integrity but have the experience demonstrating the following skills

Role and Responsibilities

• To be the hands-on carpenter and supervisor for the jobsite
• Communicate with the customer on as need basis about day to day items on job
• Establish daily work tasks with Project Manager
• Determine daily labor needs (on larger jobs) and let Project manager know as soon as possible
• Supervise on-site labor
• Maintain job site paperwork
• Order and receive materials try to set up deliveries whenever possible
• Coordinate with project manager on sub-contractors, supervise subs on site
• Resolve small plan discrepancies
• Ensure that we are meeting all quality standards that have given SMR the reputation it has today
• Communicate all change orders immediately with customer and Project manager
• Handle routine customer relations
• Maintains jobsite safety and clean jobsite
• Communicate back to Project manager at least daily on job progress
• Train lower level carpenters the skills needed
• Responsible for working with Project manager for scheduling of any inspections
• Entering your hours in ADP

• Ability to work independently or with other team members or licensed master technicians
• Ability to diagnose, resolve or fix issues
• Desire to provide excellent customer service and a sense of pride in your work
• Ability to communicate well with people
• Able to schedule and follow scheduled dead lines
• Clean driving record and valid driver’s license
• Must be energetic, reliable, and trustworthy
• Physical requirements include frequent need to lift and carry objects up to 50 lbs. Objects over 50 lbs. must be accomplished with assistance from one or more person

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
