Experienced On-Site Network Administrator/IT Technician L2

I3 Business Solutions is looking for an experienced IT technician to join our team! You will work on tickets for our clients and have opportunities to play a key role in projects for our clients.

I3 is a Managed Services Provider providing technology solutions to small businesses across Michigan. This role is primarily customer-facing, providing an experienced information technology engineer or “Network Administrator” type for multiple client environments. The role will be onsite to multiple clients, while also providing change management guidance to our support center team and some technology consulting.

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical assistance with computer hardware, software, network, or server issues across multiple OS platforms including Windows, macOS, and Linux.
• Participate in projects that involve network, server, and services implementation.
• Track client issues and resolutions, with an eye for any business impacts to the client.
• Approximately 20% of this role’s work will be from our Grand Rapids office, while the other 80% will be onsite in our clients’ offices and production environments including Hastings and the surrounding West Michigan area.

Qualifications:

• 1-2 years of Windows Server installation, implementation, and/or services administration experience
• 2-4+ years of Windows workstation installation, implementation, and support experience
• 1-2 years of network infrastructure installation, implementation, and/or administration experience
• 1-2 years of experience supporting multiple OS platforms including Windows and macOS
• Demonstrate knowledge of foundational networking concepts
• Provide onsite triage for clients and trouble shooting skills.
• Employ exceptional communication skills; both written and verbal
• Project a positive and professional demeanor

Candidates with the following would have an advantage:

• 4+ years of Windows Server installation, implementation, and/or services administration experience
• 4+ years of Windows workstation installation, implementation, and support experience
• 3+ years of network infrastructure installation, implementation, and/or administration experience
• 2+ years of experience supporting multiple OS platforms including macOS
• Previous experience installing and/or supporting Macs in either educational or corporate environments
• Previous experience in leading projects related to IT and Managed Services
• Industry certifications including Microsoft MCSA, MCSE,MCITP, VMware VCAP/VCDX/VCP-DCV, Cisco CCNA, CompTIA Network+, Security+, etc.

Salary: $45,000-$69,000
