SUMMARY: Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of extrusion machinery with the ability to inspect parts as well as update logs and files in order to ensure quality of the finished product. Starts up, runs, adjusts and troubleshoots extrusion products to meet prescribed production standards by performing the following duties. 3rd Shift

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Duties may vary/ other duties may be assigned.

· Starts, inspects, tests, adjusts and suggests repairs to extruder, winder, die heads, hopper loader, color feeder, cutting equipment, and tape machine. Also performs minor repairs as qualified.

· Performs inspections and compares products to Quality Control Standards

· Performs daily layered audits.

· Helps coordinate production/labor to keep a consistent department workflow.

· Responsible for product packaging, labeling and date‑coding.

· Responsible for head, die, and other tooling changes/cleaning.

· Conducts minor servicing and maintains work area in a neat and orderly fashion.

· Responsible for manufacturing of experimental and new products, as well as updating processing parameters in electronic database.

· Responsible for complying with the company’s Environmental Policy Manual, applicable work instructions and reporting any environmental nonconformance and/or potential nonconformance to supervision or management.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: HS diploma or technical school; or at least 1 year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Extrusion experience required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
