Position Title – Fabrication Operator

Department – Fabrication

Shift – 2nd 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM

Pay Rate -$19.00 /hr plus $1.00/hr shift differential

Pay raise to $19.50 after 90 days

Job description

Responsible for the set up and operation of all equipment in the Fabrication Department, as well as material handling for the area.

Duties and Responsibilities

· Meet production goals.

· Meet Quality Goals

· Set up and operate all machinery in the Fabrication area, to include Cold Saw, hydraulic press, press brake, drill press and various other equipment

· Demonstrate ability to use measurement equipment

· Demonstrate ability to follow Work Instructions and read drawings.

· Keep work areas clean and organized and take proper care of all equipment and facilities.

· Maintain equipment in good condition.

· Identify and segregate defective material.

· Report malfunctions and quality issues to Supervisor

· Retain practices and procedures.

· Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

· Ability to understand and retain product information.

· Ability to use hand tools.

· Ability to read drawings

· Ability use measurement tools

· Good understanding of quality control principles

· Ability to work alone or in a team environment.

· Ability to lift heavy items up to 50 pounds.

· Attention to detail.

· Forklift certified or the ability to become certified with the provided training.

Education and Experience

· 18 years of age

· High School diploma or equivalent

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
