Facilities Maintenance Engineer

The Facilities Maintenance Engineer at Viable Engineering will be a part of a team that works to maximize equipment utilization and service and maintain the day-to-day operations of the manufacturing plant in Orlando, FL. Furthermore, this role will assist in supply chain job duties within the warehouse.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the management of facility capital projects
• Design and run projects related to equipment and facilities; propose performance and cost justification for projects
• Coordinate and oversee contractors to ensure scope of work is followed
• Provide review, approval, and acceptance of new or modified equipment design and implementation
• Provide hands-on support for manufacturing and troubleshoot day-to-day equipment performance issues to minimize downtime
• Support the Manufacturing Manager in planning for equipment preventative maintenance activities and initiates repair activities for equipment that needs urgent or immediate attention
• Inspect and provide maintenance on building systems, including fire alarms, HVAC, plumbing, and lighting
• Evaluate existing equipment and provide recommendations for improvements based on industry standards
• Assist supply chain in auditing and reporting of inventory while making recommendations on which items to order and restock
• Assist in making sure all incoming inventory ais accurately recorded, received, and stored in a thoughtful manner

Qualifications:

• High school diploma required, trade school training for HVAC, electric, or plumbing desired
• 5+ years’ experience in an industrial setting required
• Experience with CNC machines desired
• Experience in HVAC and plumbing systems design
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and perform basic HVAC, electric, plumbing, and carpentry tasks
• Ability to build internal and external relationships and work on projects with cross-functional teams
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization

Pay: $80,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
