Looking for a Maintenance Technician for our Facilities group! Schedule is M-F and the hours are 3pm-11:30pm.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on all assets throughout the plant

· Maintain facility equipment, including powered plant vehicles such as forklifts, terminal tractor/yard truck, skid-steers, telescopic boom lift

· Maintain steam system piping and auxiliary equipment (condensate pumps, steam traps, etc.)

· Maintain compressed air system; identify and repair leaks throughout plant

· Maintain building and grounds, including roll-up doors, automated gates, trash removal and snow removal

· Troubleshoot mechanical issues and breakdowns

· Support maintenance and provision of Line Cleaning equipment for sales orders

· Follow boiler maintenance instructions in support of routine maintenance

· Support weekend boiler maintenance and waste inspections

· Be available to respond after hours to utility or equipment failures when called to do so

· Support contractors on capital projects

· Install, repair and maintain piping, valves, industrial mixers and pumps

· Conduct housekeeping activities and Lean Manufacturing practices to ensure an efficient and organized workshop and office area

· Perform plant walk throughs to remove trash, litter, weed control, and other routine services

· Support snow/ice removal activities as applicable

QUALIFICATIONS (Skills, knowledge, experience):

· 3+ years of chemical industrial maintenance experience preferred

· Strong technical troubleshooting/repairing equipment proficiency and demonstrated field experience

· Plumbing and pipe fitting experience preferred

· High school diploma or GED equivalent required, including basic math skills

· Must be able to operate a forklift

· Arc, MIG& TIG welding experience preferred

· Ability to operate oxygen-acetylene torch preferred

· Experience repairing gas and diesel operating equipment preferred

· Strong work ethic with reliable autonomy

· Good communication skills, both written and verbal

· Basic computer skills, experience with computerized maintenance management systems preferred

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

· Able to stand or sit for long periods of time

· Able to lift up to 75 lbs.

· Able to withstand extreme weather both hot and cold

· Able to go on top of tanks via a crane so cannot have a fear of heights

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
